Dart Art

Dartmoor is rich in literary tradition with a wealth of tales and legends from the creepy to the downright ridiculous!

Many have taken as their inspiration the Tors and various unusual land features that can be found across the moor.

We use these as the starting point to create our own weird and wonderful legends.

They can be also used as part of an art walk across the moor.

Only a short distance is covered but pages soon become filled with images, prints and patterns that can be found in all sorts of places along the way. Both these activities provide the class with a unique impression of Dartmoor and can be built upon and used in many ways back at school.
